ABOUT ME

My name is Aiden Takara. I go by both kaleo and Ruin Lance online. I'm a multimedia designer who specializes in graphic design, video editing, and digital art. Much of my inspiration comes from video games, anime, and other artists—I love being creative, and nothing is more satisfying than bringing something I visualize internally to life.

I'm particularly drawn to combining different elements and styles in unexpected ways. One of my favorite approaches is merging completely different games and aesthetics, such as creating a Persona 3 portrait using my Final Fantasy XIV character as the subject (which you can find in my portfolio). This kind of cross-pollination between different creative worlds helps me develop unique visual solutions and keeps my work fresh and innovative.

When I'm feeling stuck or uninspired, I turn to music that fits the theme of whatever project I'm working on. It's amazing how the right soundtrack can completely shift your creative mindset and help you get back into the flow. Whether I'm working on pixel art, character design, or photography, having that thematic audio backdrop really helps me connect with the project on a deeper level.

My toolkit includes both traditional and digital mediums. I work extensively with CLIP STUDIO PAINT for character design and illustrations, Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design, video editing, and photo editing, and I've been developing my photography skills. I love experimenting with different techniques, from pixel art in Aseprite to 3D typography, and I'm always learning new tools and approaches.

I believe that the best creative work comes from a place of genuine passion and curiosity. Whether I'm designing a magazine cover, creating a logo, or capturing the perfect photography shot, I try to approach each project with fresh eyes and an open mind. My goal is to create work that not only looks great but also tells a story and connects with others.
